  Choosing the Right Monument

Choosing a monument to memorialize your loved one is more than that, it is really capturing their life story for now and future generations.  That is why, at Appalachian Monument Company, our desire is to spend the necessary time to allow you to do just that. We want to create a memorial that will stand the test of time, so their legacy will endure.

At Appalachian Monument Company, we realize this decision is very difficult.  There are many options that will allow you to compose the memoir, and our desire is to work along side to guide you along the way.   With our many years of experience, we can help you determine the best options.  We will be happy to assist you in any way possible.  We thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.

Below, we have captured a few things to begin your journey.  Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of the options that are available.  But, we feel you can utilize this information to help you begin.

This information is intended to be used as a guide, to help as you begin your journey.  We strongly encourage you to visit our friendly sales staff in our office, to help determine the final decision.   It is impossible for us to capture all of the possible options in this arena, but our goal is to give you some initial direction.  We would love to have the opportunity to serve your needs.

Please contact us and let us assist you as you write this life story.

Step 1 - Choose the Monument Size
Choosing the monument size is the first step in the process.  This is typically determined by the number of people to be memorialized.  Typically, a "double" monument will be for two people and a "single" monument will be for one person.  Shape, size (width and height), plus thickness are also determining factors that will be considered.

Step 2 - Choose the Monument Color
Choosing the monument color is the second step.  There are many color choices, literally too many to list.   Below you will find links to our suppliers web sites, listing key colors that are available.  Please remember though, the colors shown on your screen could look different in direct sunlight, so we always encourage our customers to view them firsthand before making any final decision.

Step 3 - Choose the Monument Design
Choosing the monument design is the last, but potentially the most difficult decision.  There are endless possibilities regarding the choices of designs to tell the life story of your loved one.  From photos to signatures, favorite Bible verses to organization affiliations, any number of designs can be chosen for the memorial.  We would encourage you to visit our gallery to help you get a glimpse of the innumerable options.  But please understand, our desire is to design a memorial that will uniquely express your loved one's life.  Therefore, only use this as a guide and let us help you determine the final outcome.

Again, we look forward to serving you and appreciate the time you have chosen to consider Appalachian Monument Company.   If you will, please allow us the opportunity to exceed your expectations with our knowledgeable staff, quality workmanship, and unmatched service.
